MMMmmmm...chocolate! One of my big apprehensions of going dairy free is missing out on my favourite chocolate. Hotel Chocolat, Lindt, Cadbury's, you name it, I probably love it. Therefore, I often suffered a bad tummy for the sake of this good stuff. But, I need my health to be better and I feel bad about having milk knowing how it's produced. I won't go into that, as I've said before, I'm not here to guilt you into giving things up. If you want to know, go look it up but be warned, ignorance was bliss for me.
So, looking at all the different dairy-free chocolate options, I chose this one as it looked the most professional. I may be a bit of a snob. They had a few different flavour options but I thought I would start with the most basic, plain one. Unwrapped, it still looked appetising, it was shiny and looked no different to some other high-end chocolate bars.

If you are looking for a basic chocolate kick, go for it. It tastes like normal chocolate, the texture is the same, it's a hard chocolate as opposed to the softness of a Cadbury bar but if I wasn't told that this was dairy-free, I wouldn't have picked up on it. I will, in future, try some of the other flavours but, as a starting point, this is as good as I hoped. I give this a solid 10/10. Not because it was an amazing chocolate bar (it was basic) but because it does exactly what you want it to, replicate a standard chocolate bar. Therefore, it gets full marks as I am looking for things to stop me realising my diet has changed. This was 75p from Waitrose (told you I was a snob). Enjoy!
Thanks for reading,
